Cima di Medeglia

Departing from the Magadino plain, we reach Cadenazzo, from here we take the asphalt climb that leads to the LaVigna farmhouse, we then follow to Pianturino, a hamlet with 4 houses. Here the asphalt ends, we get to the center of the hamlet, a sign asks us to carry the bike by hand, having reached the center of the hamlet then, we get back on the saddle and take the path to the right, BEWARE of the exposed sections, all however rideable, some sections have just been renovated, beautiful and wild.

We then reach a forest road, closed to cars by a bar, we pass it and continue uphill, after about 4 or 5 hairpin bends we are at an altitude of 1000 meters on the ridge, we continue to the right towards the top of Medeglia, a forest road takes us up to just below the top, we leave the bike and walk up to the top.

We return via Pian Grasso, then turn back a bit with the bike, and take the wide path towards MonteCeneri, a series of downhill paths, sometimes flowing, sometimes in loose stones and leaves, take us fast to the small hamlet of Pian Grasso, here a fast asphalt road takes us to the barracks area, once we reach the fence we take a right and then on the path back towards Cadenazzo, and on a nice really flowing false flat path, we cross a chestnut forest to Robasacco and from there we continue on the Ceneri road. At the first hairpin bend we turn right and are out of traffic again and in Cadenazzo.
