Gran Canaria: La Presas - Agaete (accorciato)

Spectacular enduro tour in the northern part of Gran Canaria, due to bad weather (rain and cold) we shorten the tour that would have started from Agaete.

So "van" up to the dam, from here starts a path/muletrack of ascent for 50% pedalable the rest push and bike on the shoulder, passing under the "Pico de la Casa" we arrive at a crossroads with the path descending from the ridge, from here starts our descent of 1300 meters to the sea! First part almost alpine descent on a path in the pine forest, mule track in some places and dirt road, then we take a path on the coast of the mountain de la Presas that hints at the panorama we are going to see. From here on, breathtaking views, terrain typical of high-altitude alpine glades but with sea views, technical trail with tight hairpin bends from nosepress, a bit exposed in some places but always in the limit.

As you get further into the valley the trail becomes mento exposed but more technical with slippery rocks, in the final part above Agaete there is some "park" flow trail , beware of the prickly pears in this part, very painful. Not recommended during peak hiking periods. End trail at Agaete, real enduro ride, the most beautiful views in Gran Canaria.
