Monte Sacro foresta Umbra, Tacca del Lupo

Long ride in the Gargano, half asphalt and half dirt clockwise.

Start from Mattei waterfront on small asphalt road, then semi asphalt road continues uphill on Wolf Pass state road.

A few km of descent then right asphalt road that runs along the sacred mountain with very steep section, beautiful view of Mount Mare and forest .

A few km of ups and downs, still on asphalt road, and you reach the state highway, go right and after 2 km again right on dirt road.

Go up with steep section and continue to the valley with a downhill section.

From there dirt road to the left, go up and enter the forest bypassing a hamlet, now the usual nice forest dirt trails to the Baracconi rest area and back to Mt. Iacotenente on asphalt.

Now lu very long descent of Tacca del Lupo, for me the most beautiful in the area, especially the final stretch after the radar with beautiful views.

No water anywhere, I saw the agriturismo Monte Sacro but didn't go there.
