Anello Nicotera Briatico

Itinerary for bdc, starting from Nicotera. It starts uphill, riding along the entire SP29. You go through the entire Monte Poro plateau, and continue through the town of Mesiano. When you reach the crossroads for Cessaniti, you turn left. You start descending towards Briatico, along a road with many curves, quite fast, passing through several towns. The descent will be about 11 km long and will end on the SS. You will travel a very short stretch of state road, and turn to descend to the sea, where we will find the Rocchetta Tower.

We will start again passing through the town of Briatico, continuing along the SS522 to Tropea. Arriving in the center of Tropea, we will descend to the sea, and cross the entire seafront, passing under the little Church of the Madonna dell'Isola. From here we will continue climbing back up to the town, "climbing" along the hairpin bends of Bettini's famous sprint at the 2005 Giro. Once the "Bettini sprint" is over, the ride continues toward Nicotera, passing through Ricadi and Joppolo.
