Anello del Cornappo
The route is a loop that climbs along the valley of the Cornappo stream, ascends southeast to Mount Zisilin, and descends by smooth trails to Nimis.
It starts in Nimis, locality San Gervasio, takes via Gori crossing the provincial road and climbs on asphalt along the Cornappo stream, passes through the village Debellis, Sambo, until a hairpin bend just before Cornappo where it descends on a dirt road with a no-transit sign to climb immediately with slopes that are only significant in places for the first few kilometers. At the crossroads with asphalt, take the road to the left at an angle, at the next crossroads turn right ignoring the road to Campo di Bonis.
?Up and down for about 5km to near the summit of Mount Namlen, with a scenic picnic area, and then take a well-trodden path in the first section that descends rather gently. Some unstable rocks and switchbacks make it not too smooth, but quite fun. The fun ends at Nongruella, where you take the asphalt road through Cergneu quickly back to Nimis. Lucrative lunch at the typical Osteria San Gervasio, super.
Asphalt 50% - dirt 50%, medium challenging.
