Monte Bernadia
Route with ascent on asphalt, up to Mount Bernadia blockhouse, then descent on trail, ascent and descent on trail, closing on asphalt.
Start from Torlano, climb towards Ramandolo, Chialminis and turn towards Villanova delle Grotte, climb again on asphalt towards Mount Bernadia to the recently restored blockhouse. After a short panorama break, descend from the asphalt climb and take the first right dirt road to the crossroads a little further on where you turn right (towards Forte Alto). In a short time you reach the small trail loop on the right that leads to the top of Mount Bernadia, then continue through the woods to the not far summit of Mount Carnizza and, at the end of the narrow cart track, take the very well-maintained, medium-technical Forte Alto trail with an icy muddy bottom with some rocky parts, to the junction with the next Forte Basso on the left, which with similar bottom and ups and downs leads back to Villanova.
Go up on the previously traveled asphalt road for a couple of kilometers to the sign on the left at the Zaiama trail climb, in pleasant ups and downs with some more technical rocky sections, cross the road and continue on the Tirfor trail, a bit rockier and with more steep downhill sections, until you ford the stream, to ascend on the asphalt slightly uphill to Borgo Vigant, to proceed on the well-marked Brisicul trail, with always wet and slippery bottom, steep sections but always safe banks, until the last ford preceded by slimy zig-zags. Closes on asphalt from the bridge over the Cornappo to Torlano.
Asphalt 60% - Dirt 10%, Trails 30%, Physical condition: medium challenging; Technical difficulty: medium challenging.
