Foresta Pantaleo-Corongia da Villanova Tulo
Fairly challenging itinerary in the Pantaleo-Corongia forest one of the most extensive and lush in Sardinia in the territories of Gadoni and Villanova Tulo, we start from the latter and the climb immediately appears unfriendly, bumpy and steep, no hairpin bends on which to break our breath, but fortunately it is short, once we reach the plateau there is only another small stretch left to reach the forest lookout, the effort will be well repaid by the splendid panorama that can be admired.
Now we enter the forest and pass a boundary fence to enter Gadoni territory; we pass alongside the rock formation si Su Concali de su Entu and then until we begin a short descent; from here the trail becomes challenging because currently obstructed by vegetation and brambles, so we manage with difficulty to pass on foot, once we get out of the bad path, which however gives us splendid views at the foot of the cliffs and on the natural monument of su Campanili de Gadoni that we will later see very closely. Now, however, it is time to climb again, the ascent will be tough and almost entirely to be done on foot, fortunately you will be able to admire the enchanting forest that here reaches its maximum majesty; you will finally reach the plateau and make a brief digression north to admire su Campanili de Gadoni from a close distance and get a glimpse of the Flumendosa valley to die for. Now follow the cartroad down south to the Villanovatulo Aqueduct, the descent is fast and slightly bumpy. One last effort to climb back up the paved road that leads us back to the village.
