Short route, but hard and challenging, some sections are not rideable, do not be fooled by the kilometers and the elevation gain, avoid hot summer days and the period of heavy rains as you cross numerous fords that can also be completely impassable and dangerous in case of flood; you start from the marina of Gutturu e Flumini in the territory of Arbus and you enter the green hills of the hinterland; the climb is hard from the beginning because it is steep, bumpy and stretches partially obstructed by vegetation, but when you reach the crest of the hills it definitely improves; the splendid views toward the sea and toward Mount Arcuentu repay the effort.

The climb continues until the Is Gennas locality where you will also find equipped rest areas; as you will see from the signs, the itinerary is called the deer route (find more information at this address) and you will read that the climb can also be tackled from Portu Maga, either on dirt or on asphalt, and it will definitely be smoother.

The descent is fast and will take us into the valley of the Rio Piscinas, again the path is partially obstructed and not easy to follow, so pay attention; in any case you follow the course of the river crossing it several times and arrive at the beach of Piscinas. The section that connects Piscinas and takes us back to the base is on asphalt, so the return trip is quick and quiet, because it has little traffic, as well as pleasant because it is beautifully scenic.
