Malga Cuarnan Sella Foredor
Route with ascent on asphalt to Malga Cuarnan, ascent on foot a few meters to Sella Foredor, descent on the opposite side along the Cjalcinat trail, followed by two other flowing trails at times exposed and interrupted by streams and a landslide, ascent to Sella S.Agnese and two more uphill and downhill trails to exit beyond Ospedaletto.
Start from Gemona (at Pioppi), climb on asphalt or some shortcut sections to Malga Cuarnan, then push up to Saella Foredor, descend on the opposite side to a junction with a Cristo, left downhill on the steep, rocky, gravel path that is treacherous in places, the Cjalcinat. At the first fork, climb right up an up-and-down stretch that is exposed in places and then descend, walking past a couple of dry rocky streams, along the forest with narrow stretches and hairpin bends followed by steep straights and a last stretch with moving stones.
You reach the "petonata" interrupted a little further up by a landslide, climb immediately to the right into the woods and with an easier bottom and less steep slopes in the first part and then with an increasingly rocky bottom and some panoramic views down the valley. You come out on the road that climbs from Gemona to Sella S.Agnese, which you ride uphill to the nearby summit and descend on grassland following the track that enters the woods, left and then on the main uphill route, ignore the climb to Cumieli and in ups and downs encircle the mountain, then descend on a smooth, fast track to the northern outskirts of Ospedaletto. Return via nearby bike path.
