Il giro del monte Forato

From Gallicano, following the Alessandro Valentini river path and passing through Panicaglia, we arrive in Fornovolasco after 9.4 kilometers. We continue to Grotta del Vento for about 1 kilometer and then turn, just before Il Tinello Restaurant, onto the dirt road we find on our left. After about 2 kilometers, near the cemetery of Petrosciana, we turn left and continue for another 2 kilometers with challenging slopes until we reach the "Rifugio del Vichi" (refuge not yet opened) in Località Casa del Monte.

Here we park the bike and continue on foot along the CAI path n. 12.In about 25 minutes we arrive at Monte Forato After admiring the view we return to the Casa del Monte, get back on the MTB and take the CAI path n. 12, which, like all Apuan paths, is very difficult to ride on 2 wheels and in some cases impossible.

The trail can be ideally divided into 3 parts:

1. Monte Casa Felice House: 80% practicable;

2. Casa Felice Tana che urla: 10% rideable;

3. Lair that Screams - Fornovolasco: 95% passable.
