Nicotera (Sentiero Joppolo + Colantoni)

Mtb excursion starting from Nicotera. Start uphill, proceeding towards Preitoni. First kilometer is asphalt, followed by dirt country roads, surrounded by olive trees, oaks and vineyards. In summer there are also numerous fruit trees, such as fig and pear trees. Popping up on the asphalt, you still proceed with the ascent,and shortly afterwards you will have to turn left. You take this side road and climb further, until you will have to turn left and go along the segment called "colantoni."

It is an entirely dirt path first downhill, with more bumps to jump, and past the stream, you will have to walk up a very steep dirt slope. After finishing the trail, you continue to climb towards Caroniti, on asphalt. When you reach the top, you start to descend toward Joppolo, enjoying the two trails that are on the right. Arriving in Joppolo, you leave the town and head in the direction of Nicotera, riding on the paths that run along the provincial road. You will continue pedaling this time toward the upper part of the Nicotera countryside, in the puglisa locality. Finally, you will descend from Limbadi towards the marina of Nicotera, to proceed with the last climb reserved for the end of the tour.
