Al castello di Arena

Bicycle touring route, suitable for either mtb or gravel, with altitudes between 0 and 500 meters. The destination to be reached is the castle of Arena.

The route will be on both dirt and paved roads. The paved sections will be on not very busy roads, with ruined asphalt, You will pass on the SS18 only for a few hundred meters. No challenging climbs will be encountered. Instead, a very steep descent will be encountered. The first 30 km will be more or less flat, and there will be many stretches of dirt road. After the first 30 km, you will begin to climb, on asphalt, until you reach the maximum altitude at km 40. This is followed by a descent and an up and down section. Once past Serrata, there will be a final downhill segment, and then about 15 km of flat, alternating dirt and asphalt. What remains is only the climb to Nicotera.
