Monte Crocco

MTB route starting from the Faggio del Re barracks, in the Serre Regional Park, with elevation between 800 and 1300 meters. Flat start for about 5 km on asphalt, after which the ascent on trails begins. Continue on dirt road, and after about 8 km you will encounter a few crossings on asphalt. You pass the Marchesale State Reserve and continue in the direction of Mongiana.

You continue pedaling through the woods aiming toward the Sambuco di Mongiana pond, where you have a chance to refill your water bottle. In addition, there is a picnic area in this area.

After passing the small lakes, the return begins, passing by Monte Crocco, the highest point of the tour, still on dirt road in the beautiful paths of the Serre.

After passing Monte Crocco, we continue downhill for another 6 km or so until we reach the asphalt road again and return to the King's Beech Barracks.

Very beautiful mountain itinerary, to be taken slowly, perhaps with families in tow to have a picnic at the end.
