Le gallerie del Monte Cengio
Route with ascent on asphalt and dirt road up to Piazzale Principe del Piemonte, paths with military tunnels from the First War up to Rifugio al Granatiere partially cyclable, path uphill on rock with tunnels up near the summit of Monte Cengio (possible ascent on foot), return along the same path, ascent on asphalt and descent on technical CAI 639.
It climbs from Cogollo del Cengio on asphalt and then dirt road with medium gradient and an endless number of hairpin bends, almost completely immersed in the woods until it rejoins the asphalt near Piazzale Principe del Piemonte, from which you take the path to the left on dirt road with indication Gallerie, which after a short time becomes a path. You can explore the galleries with various openings and then take the second where the super scenic path continues uphill, partially cyclable, to the refuge at the Granatiere and the Granatieri di Sardegna church. From here you can continue on almost all uphill trail with tunnels and wonderful passages to the exit at the esplanade from which you walk up to the summit of Monte Cengio. It is worthwhile to go downhill again on the last stretch of tunnel trails. Back up you descend on the problematic CAI trail 639.
