Pentedattilo - Rocche di Prastarà

MTB itinerary starting from Melito di Portosalvo (RC), with a stop in Pentedattilo, a hamlet of Melito. We go up pedaling on asphalt along the ridge that runs along the Sant'Elia Fiumara and after a few kilometers we begin to see Pentedattilo. The landscape that offers itself to our eyes is magical. As the name suggests, Pentedattilo is shaped like a cyclopean hand with five fingers. It rises perched on the cliff of Mount Calvary. It is a village abandoned in the 1960s because of unstable terrain.

Past Pentedattilo you continue to climb until you reach an altitude of 350 meters, and then slowly begin to descend. It is an easy route, of remarkable beauty for the landscapes it offers, and it is on paved roads, with stretches de dirt or paved. A ride to be done slowly, at a bicycle touring pace.
